North Idaho Quilters

"Our love of quilts is what brings us together."

September 27, 2021:  Our speaker for the September meeting is Teresa Owens, who owns Cuppa Tea Quilting in Priest River. Teresa has been an APQS dealer since 2016. She initially worked her long arm business out of her own home. In 2018, she started Cuppa Tea Quilting in Newport, WA as a long arm shop with backings and various batting. The need for a quilt shop was so great in Newport that she quickly outgrew her rented 800 square foot space and moved to Priest River, Idaho. Her shop now has almost 3,000 square feet of space which includes three long arm machines available for rent, nearly a thousand bolts of fabric, tons of patterns, notions and thread and a beautiful space for a classroom.

Teresa says that she is "famously known" as a tapestry quilter. She offers a wide variety of tapestries and panels that customers can quickly and skillfully learn how to use the long arm machine.

She will be bringing a selection of tapestries that she has quilted to do a trunk show for the guild.

We will also be raffling off a few baskets that were not raffled at last months Basket Raffle. All tickets will be $1 each or 6/$5.
